Job summary

PE Global Care Connect is seeking an experienced Area Service & Positive Behaviour Support Manager to lead a hands-on, person-centred service for individuals with complex needs. The role is full-time with a hybrid model based in Cumbria, requiring management of a dedicated team and delivery of PBS strategies.

The ideal candidate will have PBS qualifications, Level 5 health and social care management, and a strong background in learning disabilities, autism, and mental health services.

Qualifications

• Qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, Psychology, Health & Social Care.
• Level 5 in Health and Social care management or equivalent.
• Experience as Care Manager, Service Manager, Senior Practitioner, or Team Leader managing challenging behaviours.
• Strong background in learning disabilities, autism, mental health services, and PBS.
• Excellent administrative, organisational, and data-trend analysis skills.
• Calm, confident leader capable of decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small, consistent team of support workers and coordinators.
• Deliver PBS assessments and implement behaviour support plans.
• Manage staff rota, staffing levels, and on-call arrangements.
• Oversee safeguarding and act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Coordinate with therapists, local authorities, and allied health professionals; attend medical appointments.
• Maintain clinical governance standards in line with CQC expectations.
