Job summary

PE Global Care Connect is looking for an experienced Area Service & Positive Behaviour Support Manager to lead safe, person-centred delivery of specialist support in Cumbria. This full-time, permanent role offers a hybrid model and requires managing a team of support staff with a focus on PBS and high CQC standards.

You will lead, coach and mentor staff, deliver PBS training, plan rosters, manage budgets, and ensure comprehensive care plans and risk assessments are in place.

Qualifications

• Relevant formal qualification in Positive Behaviour Support, Psychology, Health & Social Care
• Level 5 in Health and Social Management or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience as Care Manager, Service Manager, Senior Practitioner or Team Leader

Responsibilities

• Lead a team supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours of concern.
• Apply PBS strategies, reduce restrictions and improve quality of life and independence.
• Coach and supervise a small team, deliver in-house induction training and PBS coaching.
• Plan staff rotas, maintain staffing levels, cover vacancies and participate in on-call arrangements.
• Oversee timesheets, petty cash, and weekly health, safety and fire checks.
• Provide hands-on care with clients' daily routines to maximise independence.
• Manage caseloads of individuals with complex needs and coordinate with therapists and authorities.
• Complete PBS assessments and ensure behaviour support plans are implemented.
• Write and review care plans, risk assessments, and equipment checks with the team.
• Maintain safeguarding procedures and act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead when needed.
