Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Area Sales Manager for a well-established structural steelwork business in West Yorkshire. You will own the sales pipeline, develop key accounts and drive growth across construction markets.

You will build relationships with contractors, developers and consultants, implement a sales strategy, and work with internal teams to convert opportunities into profitable projects. A competitive package with bonus and company car is on offer.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales or business development within structural steelwork or related construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of the structural steelwork industry and customers.
• Proven ability to identify new opportunities and convert them into sales.
• Experience managing client relationships and developing long-term accounts.
• Strong networking, negotiation and communication skills.
• A commercially focused approach with ability to prioritise high-potential opportunities.
• Autonomous, able to manage workload and take ownership of sales performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets.
• Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities within structural steelwork and construction markets.
• Build and strengthen relationships with contractors, developers, architects, consultants and other key industry contacts.
• Manage existing accounts to maximise repeat business and identify opportunities for growth.
• Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline from initial contact to contracts.
• Keep up to date with market trends, competitor activity and opportunities.
• Promote the business through client meetings, networking and events.
• Collaborate with internal departments to support smooth transition from winning work to delivery.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and sales forecasts.
