Job summary

Novax Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer in West Yorkshire to own and lead complex steelwork design projects. You will coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams while ensuring design information accuracy, budgets and deadlines are met.

The role requires extensive experience in structural steelwork design, proficiency with Tekla tools, and the ability to mentor junior engineers while maintaining high technical standards across the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years' experience in structural steelwork design.
• Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
• Experience toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer status is advantageous.
• Proven experience in structural steel member design and connections.
• Proficiency with Tekla Structural Designer, Tekla Portal Designer and Masterseries.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural steelwork design activities across multiple projects.
• Undertake structural steel member design and steelwork connection design.
• Apply relevant design codes and standards to deliver safe, compliant solutions.
• Coordinate design information with clients, engineers, architects and subcontractors.
• Mentor graduate engineers and contribute to continuous improvement.
