Job Description:
As the Area Sales Manager within High Performance Flooring you will be covering the North West, Midlands and Wales and developing existing accounts and creating new business within the Resin Flooring Market.
- Produce a business plan to develop and deliver the maximum sales, volumes, and profit
- Prepare and perform presentations
- Visit and develop relationships with Flooring Contractors and Specifiers
- Identify and secure new business in our market areas
- Establish and build solid relationships both internally and externally
- Provide advice on Flooring systems and our product line
- Handle any potential customer complaints or claims
- Understand the needs of our customers and translate those into cost effective specifications
- Organizing trials, training, and demos. Assist in the correct execution of Flooring projects on site, in association with Technical Service Department
- Provide advance information on demand for products
- Negotiate term contracts for supplies
- Negotiate price increases as advised by the business
- Ensure price increases are adhered to and the margin is protected
- Liaise with colleagues in customer service to develop existing customer relationships
- Ensure internal reporting and tracking mechanisms are utilized
- Maintain accurate records and files
- To encourage and develop a team culture both within own team and across the Company
- Produce servicing plans for new and existing business
- Analyze market trends, identify opportunities and threats
- Co-ordinate monthly demand forecasts and identify any major fluctuations
- Ongoing SWOT analysis and any budgetary adjustments that may be necessary
- Provide monthly update report on progress, losses, market conditions and competitor activity
- Work with the project development team to ensure the region is in the place to secure all available projects
- Assist and supports ASM’s in the execution of their function and sets a role model example.
- Ensures the territory sales execution plan is implemented in line with the set objectives and strategic plan.
Qualifications/ Experience:
- Experience in the flooring industry, specifically resins technology
Knowledge:
- Sales Management skills
- Computer literate (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, SFDC) Is able to communicate in the territory’s languages

- Demonstrate good levels of numeracy and literacy together with good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated, a good team player and possess good planning, organizational and technical problem-solving skills. Is part of and builds the team in the territory, is the glue between other ASM’s and the RSM or Sales Director
- Build customer relationships and put together logical and coherent arguments.
- Experience in a sales role within a resin flooring or similar environment but must have experience of the customer base in the relevant market area.
- Valid driving license.
