Major Recruitment is seeking a commercially driven Area Sales Manager to drive growth for a specialist building products business across South Wales and South West England. This field-based role focuses on developing the territory, building long-term relationships with builders' merchants, contractors and architects, and delivering profitable sales.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in construction sales, excellent communication skills, and the ability to win new business

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales across the designated territory, achieving agreed revenue and margin targets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, including builders' merchants, contractors, architects and end users.
• Identify and win new business, opening new accounts and expanding the company's regional presence.
• Promote a specialist range of building products across the self-build, renovation and conservation markets.
• Identify new project opportunities and develop relationships with key decision-makers.
• Provide product advice and technical support, responding promptly to customer enquiries.
• Manage the sales pipeline, plan customer visits and maximise opportunities within the territory.
• Deliver excellent customer service while identifying opportunities to increase account value and profitability.

Area Sales Manager - Construction Products

Location: South Wales & South West England
Salary: £40,000-£50,000 + Commission + Company Car

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Area Sales Manager to join an established specialist building products business supplying the UK construction market.

With a quality range of roofing, cladding and natural stone products, the company works with customers across the merchant, contractor, self-build, architectural and conservation markets.

This is a field-based role offering the opportunity to develop an established territory, build long-term customer relationships and drive profitable sales growth across South Wales and South West England.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow sales across the designated territory, achieving agreed revenue and margin targets.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, including builders' merchants, contractors, architects and end users.
