Job summary

Mitchell Maguire is seeking an Area Sales Manager – Boilers & Renewables to cover Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire. You will drive field sales of boilers, renewables, heat pumps, cylinders and related products, targeting installers, contractors and independent merchants.

The ideal candidate will have proven field sales skills, a track record in territory management and the ability to grow both new business and existing accounts across the SE region.

Qualifications

• Experience selling plumbing & heating products to installers and contractors.
• Renewables/heat pumps/cylinders experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Stable career history with proven sales results.

Responsibilities

• Sell a high-quality range of boilers, renewables, heat pumps, cylinders and related products to installers and contractors.
• Split time between acquiring new business and managing existing accounts.
• Develop demand with plumbing & heating installers, contractors and merchants.
• Grow the territory across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.
• Work with the sales team and Sales Director to expand the territory.
• Maintain accurate account planning and forecasting.

Area to be covered: Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire

Remuneration: £50,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience) + 15% bonus

The role of the Area Sales Manager – Boilers & Renewables will involve:

• Field sales position selling a high quality manufactured range of water heating systems such as boilers, renewables, heat pumps, cylinders, biomass boilers and air heaters
• Majority of your time will be spent selling directly and stimulating demand with plumbing & heating installers and contractors
• The remaining portion of your time will be spent selling into plumbing & heating independent and national merchants
• Inheriting a huge potential growth territory
• There will be a 50/50 spilt between account management and new business relationships
• Tasked with growing the territory significantly working in conjunction with sales team and Sales Director

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager – Boilers & Renewables with:

• Must have experience selling a plumbing & heating associated product into installers and contractors (would consider somebody working in a plumbers merchant that has sold to installers and contractors)
• Ideally specifically in renewables, oil or cylinders however would be open
• Ideally worked for a manufacturer and sold to plumbing contractors / installers
• Stable career history
• Proven track record in field sales and territory management
• Good solid work ethic and ‘get up and go'
• Trustworthy and self motivated
• Enthusiastic and hungry
