Having been founded in 1974 MSM DRH Limited has recently celebrated over 50 years in business providing sales, hire and servicing of plant and material handling machinery.We are approved suppliers of Toyota material handling, SANY, Combilift, Aisle Master and NC Engineering.

Based in the Midlands we are ideally located to service central England and the M5 corridor.Our inhouse engineers providing the highest levels of aftersales service to our customers.

Role Overview

As an Area Manager within our construction sales team, you will be primarily focussed on equipment from SANY and NC Engineering.

Ideally, we are looking for someone with previous experience within construction/plant equipment sales.Someone who can bring their experience and contractor knowledge to the team and assist MSM DRH Ltd in further expanding our core customer base.

You will be primarily field based and will be expected to regularly attend customer sites.This will not only be to drive new activity but to manage your existing accounts.Whether it be sales / rental or general account management you will be their first point of contact.

Whilst majorly field based you will also be expected to attend head office on a schedule agreed with the Head of Sales.You will be required to complete weekly management reports.

Role Responsibilities

·Complete all follow up cycles of customer contacts provided by the Head of Sales.

·Complete minimum daily requirement of new customer contact targets.

·Accurate and complete modelling of all customer quotations and proposals, in line with company procedures and legal requirements

·Regular travel to customer sites/premises within territory

·Completion of all required sales contracts and machinery order forms for purchasing/accounts team.

·Regular contact and interaction with service/parts departments to ensure account management continuity.

·To build a strategic knowledge of sales opportunities and contact portfolios for all relevant businesses within your territory.

·Completion of weekly activity reports.

·To gain a thorough understanding of machine technical and manufacturer specifications to be able to provide accurate presentations and demonstrations to customers.

·Provide actionable customer feedback to the management team with substantive details and descriptions.

Skills and Experience

·Must be commutable to territory (essential)

·Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas (essential)

·Excellent interpersonal skills (essential)

·Highly proficient in MS Office, and CRM (preferred)

·Organized, detail orientated, with the ability to multitask (preferred)

·Previous experience in the construction/plant industry (preferred)

·Strong written and verbal communication skills (preferred)

·Detailed knowledge of construction equipment (desired)

·Detailed understanding of construction industry legal requirements (desired)

·Knowledge of machinery service/testing schedules (desired)
