Align Talent Ltd is recruiting an Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager for a leading global engineering manufacturer. The role is fully remote and covers the Midlands to the South West of the UK, including Birmingham and Gloucester, selling industrial chillers, refrigeration equipment, compressors and compressed-air systems.

You will develop new business and manage key accounts across distributors, OEMs, contractors and end users, building long-term relationships

Qualifications

• Experience developing new business and managing accounts within manufacturing, engineering, refrigeration, food services, floral, agricultural, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries, selling a technical engineering product.

Responsibilities

• Managing key accounts across the Midlands and South West through distributors, OEM customers, contractors and end users in the industrial engineering sector.
• Developing new business and growing relationships while selling industrial chillers, refrigeration systems, compressors and compressed-air equipment.
• Identify opportunities and build long-term customer relationships across the territory.
• Maintain and grow industrial sales via visits, demonstrations, exhibitions, and negotiations to meet targets.
• Coordinate with service teams to ensure high-quality after-sales support and meet customer requirements.

Job description

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager required to join a leading global engineering manufacturer.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager will be fully remote, covering the Midlands to South West of the UK, including Birmingham, Gloucester and surrounding areas, selling technical products such as industrial chillers, refrigeration equipment, compressors and compressed-air systems into Distributors, OEMs, Contractors and End Users. Full product training will be provided.

The successful Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager must have experience developing new business and managing accounts within manufacturing, engineering, Refrigeration, food services, floral, agricultural, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries, selling a technical engineering product.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Package:

• £50,000 - £55,000

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Role

• Managing a number of key accounts across the Midlands and South West through distributors, OEM customers, contractors and end users within the industrial engineering sector.
• Manage and grow existing relationships as well as developing new business, selling technical products including industrial chillers, refrigeration systems, compressors and compressed-air equipment.
• Identify new business opportunities and develop long-term customer relationships across the designated territory.
• Maintaining and growing industrial sales through customer visits, product demonstrations, exhibitions, presentations and commercial negotiations in order to achieve sales targets.
• Working closely with the Service Department to ensure an excellent standard of after-sales service is provided.
• Working closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and provide suitable engineering solutions.
• Liaise with various engineering, technical and service departments to ensure customer requirements are met.

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager Requirements

• Experience as a Key Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Technical Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Sales Engineer, Business Development Manager, Applications Engineer or similar.
• Determination, enthusiasm and motivation to succeed and grow with a market-leading industrial engineering manufacturer.
• Experience developing new business and managing accounts within manufacturing, engineering, food & pharmaceutical, refrigeration or related industries, selling a technical engineering product.
• Experience selling refrigeration, chillers, compressors, compressed air, HVAC, pumps, process cooling or other industrial mechanical engineering products would be advantageous.
• A technical mechanical engineering qualification or degree is advantageous.
• An aptitude for learning new products and understanding technical customer requirements is essential.
• Be fully remote / hybrid and able to cover the Midlands to South West territory, broadly from Birmingham through to Gloucester and surrounding areas.
