Job description

Nordson Packaging, a global leader in precision dispensing, fluid management, and related technologies, is seeking a highly motivated and talented Area Sales Manager Packaging to join our team in UK, remote. You ideally reside in the Region Manchester/Leeds. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment.

Summary of the role

The position holder is responsible for the account management & direct sales responsibility for all packaging top customers within the area North East England & Scotland.

Role and Responsibilities

  1. Maintain all packaging customers within designated territory with aim to grow revenue year on year as per the company NBS guidelines & expectations.
  2. Increase system population through pro-active value selling activities within new, existing & competitive accounts.
  3. Work to recapitalize existing Nordson installed base through pro-active focus on customers with inefficient & obsolete equipment.
  4. Introduce, promote & up-sell latest range of Nordson equipment to all customers.
  5. Develop Aftermarket business with aim to grow spare parts revenue stream including maintenance contracts, training & engineering work.
  6. Gain firm knowledge of territory through courtesy calls & liaison with Engineering team.
  7. Generate strong working relationships with adhesive suppliers & transfer knowledge.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Good all-round education with knowledge of engineering, sales & marketing.
  2. Strong commercial & sales skills with ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
  3. Fluent English language skills are mandatory.
  4. Capable of working independently using own initiative or be a member of a team.
  5. Ability to be flexible in day-to-day duties & willing to stay away overnight where required.

Travel

Yes, 80% of the time, only within northern England and Scotland.
