Ainscough Crane Hire, a leading UK crane hire company, seeks an Area Sales Manager for Lancashire & Cumbria to drive growth by building strong client relationships and turning conversations into long-term partnerships.

You will own the territory, develop opportunities, manage CRM, and regularly report forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager. A proactive, target-driven professional with negotiation and presentation skills will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Proven sales experience with track record of meeting targets.
• Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar tools.

Responsabilités

• Build and grow a strong pipeline of new business opportunities.
• Develop long-term partnerships with key clients.
• Manage and update CRM to keep activity and opportunities on track.
• Respond quickly and effectively to incoming sales inquiries.
• Meet and exceed activity targets and KPIs.
• Deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
• Negotiate contracts and secure framework agreements.
• Provide clear updates and forecasts to the Regional Sales Manager.

The Role: What You'll Be Doing This isn’t just about hitting targets— it's about building a territory.

You'll take ownership of the Lancashire & Cumbria regions, driving revenue growth by developing strong relationships with both existing customers and new prospects.

Day-to-day, you'll be:

About You

You're someone who enjoys the challenge of sales and takes pride in delivering results.

• Proven experience in a sales role, with strong negotiation and influencing skills
• A track record of achieving (and exceeding) targets
• Confidence in building relationships and closing deals
• Strong presentation and proposal-writing skills
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the drive to succeed
• particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Experience in construction or crane hire is a bonus—but not essential.
