Job summary

Recruit4Talent Ltd is recruiting an Area Sales Manager to cover the Yorkshire and North East region for a global water technologies division. You will drive sales of district heating pipework to contractors, specifiers, and clients, while meeting revenue and profitability targets.

Based on patch, you will provide on-site training to contractors, manage CRM records, and report on activity and market insights. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits including a bonus potential.

Area Sales Manager

Area Sales Manager sought by the water technologies division of a global, £multibillion construction products manufacturer with nearly 200 locations worldwide, to cover the Yorkshire/North East region selling the company's district heating products.

Your role as Area Sales Manager

As Area Sales Manager based on patch in the Yorkshire/North East region, your duties will include:

• Generating new business for the Company's pre-insulated district heating pipework solutions
• Dealing with and selling to contractors, wholesalers, building services consultants and clients
• Meeting sales and profitability targets
• Ensuring regular planning and reporting is maintained
• Understanding and interpreting customer needs
• Adopting a disciplined approach to prospecting and follow-up
• Effectively utilising CRM systems to track customer and competitor insights

Your skills & experience

• You will have proven sales experience within the construction industry, including strong experience of dealing with specifiers and contractors (mechanical / utility)
• Experience in district heating projects or low carbon heating is desired but not essential for the role
• As the role will involve training and supporting contractors on site with the Company's district heating pipework, site experience is essential
• Target-driven and naturally engaging individual who excels in building relationships and enjoys regular customer interaction
• Well organised with a structured approach to the role
• An excellent communicator, as well as having confidence in delivering technical presentations

• £45,000 - £55,000 salary depending on skills and experience
• Sales Incentive Programme (max 40% paid quarterly, plus individual targets - max 10% paid annually)
