Job summary

VIVO Defence is seeking an experienced Area Projects Lead to take ownership of project delivery across the Cambridgeshire area, leading a team of Project Managers and ensuring safety, quality and profitability. The role oversees projects typically valued at £25k+ from brief through to handover, with close collaboration with DIO, TLBs and other stakeholders.

You will manage the area budget and P&L, drive efficiency and ensure timely cash collection while complying with JSP 850 sustainability

Qualifications

• Experienced project or programme delivery professional with strong background in construction, engineering, facilities management or related environment.
• HNC or equivalent qualification required; PRINCE2 or APM training preferred; IOSH or equivalent qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the annual Billable Works programme across the service area, ensuring projects are on time, within budget and compliant with contractual and MOD requirements.
• Lead and develop a team of Project Managers, providing coaching and performance development and ensuring effective governance.
• Manage area budget and P&L, monitor supplier performance, and mitigate commercial risks to maintain margins and cash flow.
