Job summary

VIVO Defence Services, a joint venture between Serco and EQUANS, is seeking an Area Projects Lead to manage project delivery across Wiltshire, including the annual Billable Works programme and non-programmed projects. You will build and lead a team of Project Managers, creating structure, processes and a safety-first culture to deliver projects safely, efficiently and profitably across multiple sites.

Expect strong commercial focus, budget governance, and collaboration with DIO, operational

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Building/Civil Engineering, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Recognised project management qualification such as PRINCE2 or APM.
• IOSH or equivalent safety qualification is required.
• NEBOSH, SMSTS, or Chartered/ Incorporated Engineer status is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery across a Defence service area, ensuring milestones and procurement standards.
• Build and guide a team of Project Managers, mentoring and coaching.
• Maintain governance, risk management and budget control (P&L) for the area.
• Collaborate with DIO, Heads of Establishment, and supply chain to meet operational needs.
