We're on the hunt for a motivated and strategic Area Manager for the Southeast to guide our depot teams to new heights. This role offers a blend of leadership, strategy, and hands-on problem-solving. Whether it's managing profit & loss, fostering client relationships, or fine-tuning operations, you'll have the power to clean up inefficiencies and drive success.

Reporting to our Environmental Services Operations Director, your role is to lead and manage assigned depot teams to ensure operational success, financial performance, and excellent customer service across all 4 locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership & Profitability: Oversee depot operations and P&L for assigned depots to meet group targets.
  2. Team Management: Motivate, assess, and train staff to uphold A&A's culture, vision, and values.
  3. Operational Efficiency: Champion the "One A&A" strategy to enhance collaboration, efficiency, and profitability across depots and teams.
  4. Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high-quality service and build strong customer relationships within the region.
  5. Business Development: Expand the customer base, drive repeat business, and work with sales and marketing teams to identify new opportunities.
  6. Issue Resolution: Address client concerns, implement strategies to prevent reoccurrence, and promote a positive team culture.
  7. Strategic Planning: Design and monitor business strategies, performance targets, and KPIs to support profitability and growth.
  8. Collaboration: Coordinate with commercial, marketing, and other depot teams to maximize resources, develop new services, and meet business objectives.
  9. Reporting & Communication: Regularly report to the Board, provide technical advice, and maintain A&A's positive reputation.
  10. Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure adherence to HR policies, submit reports as required, and implement cost-saving and quality control measures.
About you:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic professional who thrives on change and embraces new challenges. With a strong technical background in areas such as Confined Space working, Water Jetting, ADR, Hazmat, and Marine Response, you will bring not only industry expertise but also a positive, proactive approach to leadership.

You'll be a natural communicator who creates strong engagement between the office, operatives, and management, fostering a collaborative culture. With your ability to drive change and solve problems, you'll ensure smooth operations and maintain a strong connection across teams. Your commercial mindset will be key in identifying growth opportunities, such as optimizing supply chain costs, while working closely with the commercial team to leverage strengths and ensure success.

Leadership experience is vital, especially in managing large teams and P&L responsibilities. Previous experience with drivers and a solid understanding of how logistics and operations work will be crucial to your success in this role. You'll bring your P&L management expertise and senior leadership experience to the table, building a cohesive team that consistently drives performance.
