Job summary

Samworth Brothers is seeking an Area Manager to lead teams to deliver work safely, on time and to the right standard at our UK sites. You will support people, help them develop and foster a positive working environment, with clear communications, good planning and practical problem solving.

You will collaborate with other teams to resolve issues, trial new ideas and support customer needs, while coaching Team Leaders and colleagues to deliver the daily plan safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Experience coaching and developing teams in a chilled or high care food environment.
  • Strong decision-making under pressure.
  • Knowledge of HACCP Level 3 and IOSH Standards.
  • Understanding of production processes, KPIs and operational planning.

Responsibilities

  • Guide Team Leaders and colleagues so that the daily plan is delivered safely and efficiently
  • Maintain safety, quality and process standards and make sure they're followed consistently
  • Monitor performance, review data and take action where improvements are needed
  • Communicate openly, coach your team and support wellbeing, performance and attendance
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve issues, support improvements and deliver good service.

About The Role

As an Area Manager you will lead the team to deliver work safely, on time and to the right standard. The role involves supporting people, helping them to develop and creating a positive working environment. Clear communications and good planning help keep performance on track, whilst practical problem solving ensures that the area runs smoothly each day. Collaboration with other teams is an important part of resolving issues, trialling new ideas and supporting customer needs.
