Job summary

Qualifications

Job description

As an Area Manager in our Deli Operations, you will lead the team to deliver work safely, on time and to the right standard. The role involves supporting people, helping them to develop and creating a positive working environment. Clear communications and good planning help keep performance on track, whilst practical problem solving ensures that the area runs smoothly each day. Collaboration with other teams is an important part of resolving issues, trialling new ideas and supporting customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide Team Leaders and colleagues so that the daily plan is delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain safety, quality and process standards and make sure they’re followed consistently.
  • Monitor performance, review data and take action where improvements are needed.
  • Communicate openly, coach your team and support wellbeing, performance and attendance.
  • Work closely with other departments to resolve issues, support improvements and deliver good service.

  • You are a resilient and credible leader with experience of coaching and developing teams in a chilled or high care food environment.

  • You understand food safety requirements and HACCP Level 3 and IOSH Standards.
  • You have a solid grasp of production processes, KPIs and operational planning in a fast paced setting. You communicate well, build strong working relationships and manage performance in a fair and consistent way.
