FM Search & Select Ltd are recruiting an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations across the East of Scotland, based in Dundee with a mobile, client-facing remit.

You will lead and develop cleaning teams across multiple sites, conduct audits, ensure quality and contractual standards, and report on performance using data. This permanent role offers a salary up to £35,000 and a company car, covering Edinburgh, Dundee and Fife.

Location: Dundee / East of Scotland

FM Search & Select are working with an established Facilities Management business who are looking to recruit an experienced Area Cleaning Manager to oversee a portfolio of contracts across the East of Scotland.

This is a mobile, client-facing position where you will take ownership of cleaning operations across multiple sites, ensuring consistently high standards of service while managing and developing cleaning teams.

The Role

As Area Cleaning Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of multiple sites and will act as a key point of contact for clients across your portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing cleaning services across multiple client sites throughout the East of Scotland
• Leading, supporting and developing cleaning teams
• Managing the onboarding and induction of new employees
• Carrying out regular site visits, cleaning audits and quality inspections
• Monitoring service delivery and ensuring contractual standards are achieved
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients
• Managing staffing levels, absence and performance across the portfolio
• Identifying and resolving operational issues quickly and effectively
• Producing reports and using data to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
• Ensuring teams operate in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements
• Supporting recruitment and mobilisation of new employees where required

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced Cleaning Manager / Area Cleaning Manager who is comfortable managing people and clients across a multi-site portfolio.

• Previous management experience within the commercial cleaning industry
• Experience managing cleaning teams across multiple locations
• Strong client-facing and relationship management skills
• Experience carrying out site audits and quality inspections
• Experience onboarding and managing employees
• Strong communication and people-management skills
• Good IT skills and confidence using data, reports and systems
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage a busy mobile workload
• A proactive, hands-on approach to service delivery
• Full UK driving licence
