Job summary

PDA Search & Selection is seeking an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations across approximately 40 retail sites. The role is full-time, covering Bristol and surrounding areas, with a 40-hour week and a Monday–Saturday shift pattern.

You will be hands-on when needed, driving audits, staff training, and KPI delivery. The successful candidate will manage budgets, liaise with clients, and ensure Health & Safety standards are met, while leading a team of cleaning staff deployed across

Responsibilities

• Manage cleaning across circa 40 retail sites on a mobile basis.
• Ensure KPI delivery and weekly checks with corrective actions as needed.
• Recruit and train cleaning staff in line with procedures.
• Control area and site costs within budget and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular contact.
• Carry out weekly and monthly cleaning audits.
• Manage HR issues as they arise.

Position: Area Cleaning Manager

Salary: £30,000.00 per annum

Included: Company car & Fuel Card

Location: Covering sites across Bristol & surrounding areas

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Monday - Saturday | Working between the hours of 7.00am - 4.00pm

Our client are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Manager to be responsible for cleaning operations of circa 40 retail sites.

Job Purpose

• The Area Cleaning Manager will be responsible for the management of cleaning in the provision of cleaning circa 40 sites on a mobile basis.


• The Area Cleaning Manager will ensure that KPI's and Weekly Checks are delivered to defined standards and corrective action is taken as required.


• To recruit and effectively train all Cleaning staff in the Area to ensure that other colleagues are recruited and trained in line with the recruitment process.


• To manage the area and site costs within budget and ensure the requirements of Health & Safety are followed.


• Develop / maintain strong relationships with clients through regular contact


• Carry out weekly and monthly cleaning audits


• Manage any HR issues

The role is full time, permanent and 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, predominantly working Monday to Friday, with weekends off.

Candidates need to be used to working in a fast-paced environment and for a demanding client and need to be prepared to be hands-on where required.

Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence.
