Job summary

PDA Search & Selection is recruiting an Area Cleaning Manager to oversee cleaning operations for 30-35 retail sites on a mobile basis. The role requires hands-on leadership, KPI delivery, weekly checks, and cost management.

You'll recruit and train staff, maintain strong client relationships, conduct regular audits, and address HR issues while working 40 hours across Mon-Fri with occasional on-site travel in Shropshire.

Qualifications

• Multi-site cleaning management experience.
• Full valid driving licence.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word.
• Strong communication and team leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning operations for ~30-35 sites on a mobile basis.
• Ensure KPI delivery and weekly checks with corrective action as required.
• Recruit and train Cleaning staff in line with the recruitment process.
• Manage area and site costs within budget and uphold Health & Safety standards.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular contact.
• Carry out weekly and monthly cleaning audits.
• Manage HR issues as they arise.

Position: Area Cleaning Manager

Salary: £37,500.00 per annum + Bonus up to £2,000.00 (KPI Dependant)

Included: Company car & Fuel Card

Location: Covering sites across Shropshire

Hours: 40 hours per week

Shifts: Monday - Friday | Generally working between the hours of 7.00am - 4.00pm

Our client are looking to recruit an Area Cleaning Manager to be responsible for cleaning operations of circa 30-35 retail sites.

Job Purpose:

• The Area Cleaning Manager will be responsible for the management of cleaning in the provision of cleaning circa 30-35 sites on a mobile basis.
• The Area Cleaning Manager will ensure that KPI's and Weekly Checks are delivered to defined standards and corrective action is taken as required.
• To recruit and effectively train all Cleaning staff in the Area to ensure that other colleagues are recruited and trained in line with the recruitment process.
• To manage the area and site costs within budget and ensure the requirements of Health & Safety are followed.
• Develop / maintain strong relationships with clients through regular contact
• Carry out weekly and monthly cleaning audits
• Manage any HR issues

The role is full time, permanent and 40 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7, predominantly working Monday to Friday, with weekends off.

Candidates need to be used to working in a fast-paced environment and for a demanding client and need to be prepared to be hands-on where required.

Candidates must have a full and valid driving licence.
