Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a Permanent contract on a salary of £38,067 (Pro Rata). This role is Part-Time.

Responsibilities:

1. Partnerships teams are responsible for delivering discretionary services in regional offices, working with local partners to improve quality of life through heritage conservation, creative reuse, advocacy, engagement, research, grant-giving, project management, capacity building, and repair and conservation.
2. As key members of the regional Partnerships teams, architects and surveyors advise partners on proposals for repair and alteration of heritage assets and provide guidance on historic townscapes and landscapes, directly impacting conservation and community well-being.
3. Qualifications required include a professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, current ARB registration or chartered RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA (SCA level), or RICS) or working towards these.
4. Extensive experience in building repair and project management.
5. Good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
6. Excellent understanding of building construction, current practices, and methods for repair, alteration, and adaptation of buildings and monuments.
7. Ability to approach repair challenges practically and creatively.
8. Good knowledge of current construction industry regulations.
