Job summary

Amey is seeking an Architect to join a multidisciplinary team, taking ownership of designs, drawings and technical deliverables. You will lead on project delivery, supervise junior staff and engage with clients to support business development.

You will apply architectural theory to practical challenges, coordinate with design disciplines, and ensure compliance with regulations and standards across a range of sectors.

Qualifications

• Post Graduate Diploma in Architectural Practice accredited to RIBA Part 3.
• Registered Architect with ARB or working towards registration.
• Experience in an architectural role, likely as Assistant Architect or similar.
• Ability to apply architectural theory to practical project challenges.
• Experience preparing and reviewing architectural designs, drawings and specs.
• Good knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD and BIM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Produce technically sound architectural solutions meeting client requirements and standards.
• Prepare and check designs, drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Own architectural deliverables, ensuring quality, cost and programme objectives.
• Supervise and support junior team members; mentor where needed.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers; attend meetings.
• Coordinate design information with other disciplines for integrated delivery.
• Manage workload and day-to-day activities of a small technical team.
• Contribute to bid submissions and wider business development.
• Support risk management and health and safety compliance.
• Undertake site visits and surveys; occasional site-based assignments.
• Support delivery across diverse sectors; assist with training of juniors.
