About the job

You will manage a remote caseload of learners, guiding them through their apprenticeship journey. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality coaching, tailored support, and regular progress tracking to ensure every learner reaches their full potential and successfully completes their programme.

Visiting learners in the workplace/remotely, training, and assessing them as part of their Apprenticeship programme to ensure successful outcomes in line with contractual requirements and targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach and mentor learners on Level 3-5 Coaching Professional and Leadership/Management standards.
  • Deliver engaging 1:1 coaching sessions and group learning via virtual platforms.
  • Prepare learners for End-Point Assessment (EPA) and ensure timely achievement.
  • Track progress and implement interventions where necessary to maintain engagement.
  • Liaise with employers to align training with business needs and apprenticeship criteria.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records according to funding and Ofsted requirements.
  • Provide pastoral support and motivation to learners facing challenges.
  • Stay current with industry trends to enhance delivery and learner outcomes.
  • Prepare, agree, and review assessment plans with each candidate.
  • Create learner portfolios to meet target standards and ensure timely submission.
  • Carry out learner visits at least monthly, either face-to-face or remotely, to provide support.
  • Conduct employer visits to complete progress reviews.
Requirements for the successful Apprenticeship Trainer
What We’re Looking For
  • Vocational expertise in management, leadership, and business, with a passion for coaching future leaders, managers, and business professionals.
  • Own transport and ability to cover the South if required (remote delivery).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to relate well to staff and learners of all abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload, including travel to various locations for visits, training, and assessments.
  • Ability and desire to deliver taught training sessions to groups and individuals regarding the full Apprenticeship standard, including Vocational Qualification.
  • Organized and methodical approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, but also able to work well in a team.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
  • TAQA or Assessors award (if qualified) or willingness to work towards.
  • Own NVQ/Apprenticeship L2 or L3 qualification is a plus but not essential.
Additional desirable experience:
  • Proven experience coaching or training learners in apprenticeship or education settings.
  • Experience delivering Coaching Professional Level 3-5 and/or leadership/management programmes.
  • Recognized assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA, TAQA, A1).
