Join a well-established training provider with a reputation for learner success and employee satisfaction. We’re seeking a motivated Apprenticeship Skills Coach to deliver high-impact, learner-centred support for Level 3-5 Coaching Professional and leadership apprenticeship programmes.

About the job

You will manage a remote caseload of learners, guiding them through their apprenticeship journey. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality coaching, tailored support, and regular progress tracking to ensure learners reach their full potential and complete their programmes successfully.

Visiting learners in the workplace or remotely, training and assessing them to ensure successful apprenticeship outcomes aligned with contractual requirements and targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and mentor learners on Level 3-5 Coaching Professional and Leadership/Management standards.
  • Deliver engaging 1:1 coaching sessions and group learning via virtual platforms.
  • Prepare learners for End-Point Assessment (EPA) and ensure timely achievement.
  • Track progress and implement interventions to maintain engagement.
  • Liaise with employers to align training with business needs and apprenticeship criteria.
  • Maintain accurate records in line with funding and Ofsted requirements.
  • Provide pastoral support and motivation to learners facing challenges.
  • Stay current with industry trends to enhance delivery and learner outcomes.
  • Prepare, agree, and review assessment plans with each candidate.
  • Create learner portfolios to meet standards and ensure timely submission.
  • Conduct learner visits at least monthly, either face-to-face or remotely, to provide support.
  • Conduct employer visits to complete progress reviews.

Requirements for the successful Apprenticeship Trainer

What We’re Looking For

  • Vocational expertise in management, leadership, and business, with a passion for coaching future leaders and professionals.
  • Own transport and the ability to cover the South if required (remote delivery).
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, able to relate well to staff and learners of all abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload, including travel to various locations.
  • Ability and desire to deliver training sessions to groups and individuals on the full Apprenticeship standard, including Vocational Qualification.
  • Organized and methodical work approach.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented.
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills (GCSE A-C or equivalent).
  • TAQA or Assessors award (or willingness to work towards).
  • NVQ/Apprenticeship L2 or L3 qualification (preferred but not essential).

Additional desirable experience:

  • Proven coaching or training experience in apprenticeship or education settings.
  • Experience delivering Coaching Professional Level 3-5 and/or leadership/management programmes.
  • Recognized assessor qualification (e.g., CAVA, TAQA, A1).
