Job summary

Howells Solutions Limited is partnering with an established, multi-site business to lead their apprenticeship programme near Luton. This is a full-time, office-based role focused on delivering the complete apprentice journey from attraction to progression into permanent roles.

You will shape the programme, manage funding and engage with colleges and external training providers to drive successful learner outcomes across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing apprenticeships or early careers programmes.
• Strong knowledge of apprenticeship funding and administration.
• Experience managing colleges and training providers.
• Confidence managing budgets, claims, funding records and compliance.
• Genuine interest in developing people and helping early-career talent succeed.
• Ability to challenge managers/providers when standards or progression aren’t met.
• Excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working across multiple sites or departments.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment & workforce planning for apprenticeships.
• Apprentice management: support development, attendance and wellbeing.
• Training & development through college training and off-the-job learning.
• Provider management with colleges and training providers.
• Funding & budgets: manage funding, claims and grants.
• Support progression into longer-term roles.
• Use data/feedback to improve retention and apprenticeship experience.
