Job summary

Leicestershire County Council seeks a Learning Development and Delivery Co-ordinator to shape and deliver high‑quality curriculum with focus on apprenticeships and work‑based learning. You will lead staff, oversee teaching quality, and ensure progression pathways across multiple locations.

You will drive continuous improvement, align provision with skills priorities, and support learners into employment and further study, with flexible working options and DBS checks as required.

Qualifications

• Recognised teaching and assessing qualifications or equivalent professional experience in adult learning.
• Willingness to work towards teaching qualifications if not already held.
• Substantial experience teaching and delivering post-16 learning including apprenticeships and vocational or work-based programmes.
• Strong ability to achieve positive learner outcomes including recruitment, retention, achievement and progression.
• Experience managing or supporting staff including performance management, observation of teaching and learning, coaching or mentoring.
• Good knowledge of quality assurance, funding requirements and awarding body standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with employers, partners, staff and learners.
• Strong ICT and organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage delivery staff, including Trainer Assessors and Tutors, with performance review and coaching.
• Coordinate curriculum design integrating vocational training and employability skills.
• Ensure high-quality teaching, assessment and learner support across programmes.
• Support quality assurance and continuous improvement, ensuring funding and awarding body compliance.
• Oversee learner journey from enrolment to achievement and progression across multiple locations.
