Job summary

Coventry City Council is seeking a skilled and passionate educator to take on a leadership role delivering high-quality apprenticeship and adult learning programmes across Coventry. You will shape curriculum design, support learner progression, and contribute to continuous improvement across pathways.

Working with tutors, employers and stakeholders, you will oversee assessments, progress reviews, EPA readiness, and Gateway compliance, while helping recruit and mentor learners.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 3 qualification in apprenticeship areas or equivalent.
• Teaching qualification at Level 3/4/5 (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed).
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or Functional Skills 2 or equivalent.
• Assessor qualification (D32/D33/A1) or equivalent.
• Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and shape high-quality apprenticeship and adult-learning provision.
• Collaborate with tutors, employers and stakeholders on curriculum design and progression.
• Support initial assessments, personalised learning plans and progress reviews.
• Ensure EPA readiness, Gateway compliance and alignment with reform changes.
• Support marketing, recruitment and learner sign-ups, and strengthen pathways.
