The coach will prepare learners for Gateway in a timely manner, ensuring they have the required level of competence to achieve the highest grade possible at end-point assessment.

  • Engage with learners' line managers/mentors, clarifying their responsibilities and working collaboratively to support, guide, and identify learning opportunities.
  • Conduct regular progress reviews with learners, mentors, and employers. Manage a caseload of learners relevant to the programme.
  • Ensure electronic evidence recording systems are regularly updated to accurately reflect each learner's progress.
  • Support each learner's journey from start to finish, including the marking of portfolio submissions.
  • Work with employers to ensure learning programmes are individualised, involving all parties in the process.
  • Support the development of training materials and programmes, drawing on sector expertise and CPD to keep delivery at the forefront of each sector.
  • Measure the impact of the curriculum on individual learners, ensuring progress aligns with intended outcomes.
  • Provide pastoral and safeguarding support for learners. Deliver personalised careers information, advice, and guidance to foster professional growth, development, and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the ongoing self-assessment process, working in line with MetaGedu policies and procedures.

Skills and Experiences:

  • GCSE grade C/4 or above, or Functional Skills level 2 or above in English and Maths.
