Job Description:

Role Purpose:

The development coach will work across the financial apprenticeship standards delivered by MetaGedu, responsible for those within their area of competence. They will support apprentices in developing knowledge, skills, and behavior through workshops, coaching, observations, and assessments, preparing learners for Gateway and ensuring they achieve the highest possible grade at end-point assessment.

Role and Responsibilities:

1. Deliver structured learning journeys adhering to standards, ensuring consistency and fairness.
2. Deliver engaging remote, face-to-face, and classroom-based knowledge sessions.
3. Capture evidence of learning effectively in required formats.
4. Engage with learners' line managers/mentors to support the learner's journey.
5. Conduct regular progress reviews with learners, mentors, and employers.
6. Manage a caseload of learners relevant to the program.
7. Update electronic evidence recording systems accurately.
8. Support learners from start to EPA, including portfolio marking.
9. Work with employers to individualize learning programs.
10. Develop training materials drawing on sector expertise and CPD.
11. Measure curriculum impact and learner progress.
12. Provide pastoral and safeguarding support, including careers guidance.
13. Contribute to self-assessment and adhere to policies and procedures.

Skills and Experiences:

1. Extensive relevant occupational experience in the financial sector, supported by qualifications or CPD.
2. GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths.
3. Experience in coaching and supporting learners.
4. Ability to meet deadlines and manage personal diary.
5. Motivational skills to support individuals.
6. Level 4 award in education/training or equivalent, with assessor qualifications.
7. Knowledge of government-funded training programs.
