A well-established, leading provider of specialist training and apprenticeships exclusively for the UK legal sector.

They work with law firms across England, helping them utilise government funding (Levy & Co-investment) for programmes like Paralegal, Solicitor (SQE), CILEX, Conveyancing.

About The Apprenticeship Coach Manager Role

My client is currently looking for experienced Apprenticeship Coach Manager to join their team.

The successful candidate will be accountable and responsible for the delivery of apprenticeships in line with business objectives.

You will support the Apprenticeship Coaches, ensuring the needs of learners and employers are met.

In addition, you will be accountable for the delivery of the agreed KPIs and staff performance, reporting to the Senior Leadership team.

You will be expected to provide leadership and operational management, ensuring high-quality delivery across all apprenticeship programmes, supporting learners to achieve timely completion and maintain QAR above 65%.

Duties and Responsibilities
Team Management

Manage performance of the Apprenticeship Coach team to meet contractual targets for timely success rates, withdrawals, breaks in learning and progressions

Recruit, manage, and support Apprenticeship Coaches, setting and monitoring monthly KPIs

Conduct monthly one-to-one meetings with team members to review performance and develop personal development plans

Implement corrective measures to address underperformance

Deliver ongoing staff training to maintain consistency in processes and practices

Quality Assurance

Ensure compliance with DfE funding guidelines and OFSTED requirements

Conduct regular teaching and learning observations

Monitor functional skills delivery and support Coaches in developing learners' English and mathematics skills

Contribute to and implement the Quality Improvement Plan

Operational Management

Collaborate with business development department to support growth and learner recruitment

Take responsibility for QAR rates across all programmes

Work with Senior leaders, Sales, Compliance, Finance and Onboarding Teams to ensure cohesive service delivery

Monitor and report on programme performance against KPIs

Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure smooth running of apprenticeship programmes

What You Need to Succeed

Proven track record in operations/performance management within apprenticeship delivery

Experience of managing coaching teams delivering apprenticeships

Demonstrable success in achieving learner start and completion targets

Occupational experience within educational/training environment

Essential Knowledge

Comprehensive understanding of apprenticeships and funding streams

In-depth knowledge of OFSTED and DfE requirements

Strong understanding of quality assurance processes in education

Essential Skills

Advanced IT skills including proficiency with various software platforms

Excellent communication and organisational abilities

Strong people management capabilities

Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels
