About the Role

Are you ready to start an exciting career in the automotive industry? We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship Programme at Wessex Garages. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience, learn from industry experts, and become a qualified Vehicle Technician.

Responsibilities

• Servicing vehicles: Conducting checks and maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Repairing and replacing parts: Diagnosing issues and fixing problems.
• Communicating with Service Advisors: Sharing repair needs and updates.
• Estimating repair times: Helping customers understand repair durations.
• Maintaining records: Keeping detailed service and repair logs.

Training Details

The apprenticeship lasts for at least 36 months and leads to a Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle). Training includes:

• On-the-job learning with experienced Technicians.
• One day per week at a training provider (day release).
• Online tuition, assessor visits, and occasional training sessions at the provider's location.

Candidate Requirements

We value potential and motivation. Ideal candidates will have:

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade 4/C or above (preferred).
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and initiative.
• A driving licence is advantageous but not essential.
