Program Details: Our apprenticeship programs combine earning and learning, offering personal and professional development. Working with us means working towards becoming a qualified professional, earning a salary, and achieving academic success. Support is provided throughout by your manager and a dedicated mentor.
Role Responsibilities: Working with the mechanical maintenance team, diagnosing faults, assembling, installing, and dismantling mechanical plant and equipment such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, and pipework. Performing planned, unplanned, and preventative maintenance.
What You Will Learn:
Program Structure: Training at Make UK, Birmingham, with periods at your local site. The program includes BTEC qualification and practical training, with accommodation provided if necessary.
Entry Criteria: Equivalent to A-Levels, with GCSEs in English and Maths or functional skills. A driving license and access to a vehicle are required for certain locations.
Post-Apprenticeship Expectations: Joining a local team, participating in standby rota, and applying your skills to real-world scenarios.
Candidate Profile: Passionate, proactive, adaptable, communicative, team-oriented, and eager to learn. Ability to work in all weather conditions and travel across sites is essential.
