Job summary

St Sebastian’s RC Primary School in Salford is seeking a dedicated teaching assistant to join our welcoming school on a fixed-term basis for 23 months with potential for a full-time position after training.

The role supports the apprenticeship framework in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools at Level 3, with a study period of 18 months. Visits to the school are encouraged and DBS disclosure will be required.

Qualifications

• Willingness to undertake apprenticeship framework in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools at Level 3 (18 month study).
• Commitment to functional skills in Maths and English at Level 3 (if exemptions don’t apply).
• Flexibility to work across all key stages and support positive behaviour and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Develop teaching support skills under guidance of school staff.
• Assist in creating a nurturing environment and promote independent learning.
• Work flexibly across year groups and support all pupils as part of the classroom team.
