Job summary

Liverpool City Council's Children and Young People’s Services is offering an Apprentice Specialist Learning Support Assistant (Hearing Impairment) role at Cunard Building, Liverpool. This 32.5-hour per week, term-time-only post supports pupils with hearing impairments to access the curriculum and participate in school life.

The fixed-term apprenticeship lasts 24 months, with benefits including generous pro-rata leave, agile working where possible, and access to the Local Government Pension

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teaching staff to support learning, wellbeing and inclusion of pupils with hearing impairments.
• Support pupils to access the curriculum and engage in learning.
• Develop independence in learning and use of audiological equipment.
• Gain specialist skills to assist children and young people with hearing impairment.
