Job summary

Liverpool City Council is seeking a Learning Support Mentor of the Visually Impaired (Term Time Only) for Cunard Building, Water Street, Liverpool. The role focuses on enabling independence for visually impaired children within school settings and working within a dedicated VI team.

The post offers part-time hours (28 per week) in a permanent part-time contract, with agile and flexible working options and a clear commit­ment to inclusive education and social impact in Liverpool.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist support to visually impaired children in school to boost independence.
• Collaborate with the Operational Leader (VI), QTVI and Support staff as part of the VI service team.
• Assist with referrals and act as the first point of contact within the service for families and schools.
