Job summary

Liverpool City Council is offering an apprenticeship in Learning and Organisational Development. The role supports early careers programmes and contributes to projects across services to benefit employees and residents.

The apprentice will work with administrative duties, learning systems, data reporting, and recruitment activities, supported by a friendly team and structured development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Provide high-quality, proactive business support to the Learning and Organisational Development Service.
  • Administer the Council's Learning Management System (Learning Hub) including uploading course information, monitoring bookings, recording attendance, maintaining records and producing reports.
  • Support data collation from learning systems, surveys and programme activities for management information reports and evaluation outputs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, proactive business support to the Learning and Organisational Development Service, including admin tasks and email/communications.
  • Administer Learning Hub LMS: upload course info, monitor bookings, record attendance, maintain records, generate reports.
  • Collate data from learning systems and surveys to feed MI reports and staff evaluations.
  • Provide financial and procurement support for learning activities, including purchase orders and invoice processing.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding for early careers pathways, including apprenticeships, graduates and internships.
  • Assist with vacancy creation, longlisting and recruitment data maintenance in the Council's system.
  • Plan and organise meetings, training, workshops and events and maintain associated documents.

Responsibilities
  • The role of Learning and Organisational Development Support Apprentice will provide high-quality, proactive business support to the Learning and Organisational Development Service carrying out a range of administrative duties including responding to shared mailboxes and other channels.
  • You will administer the Council's Learning Management System (Learning Hub), including uploading course information and dates, monitoring bookings, recording delegate attendance, maintaining accurate records and producing reports.
  • You will support with collation of data from learning systems, surveys and programme activities that will feed into management information reports, staff survey feedback reports and evaluation reports.
  • As part of the role you will provide financial and procurement support for learning, development and apprenticeship activity, including raising purchase and limit orders, processing invoices, resolving queries and tracking expenditure using the Council’s financial systems.
  • In the role of Learning and Organisational Development Support Apprentice you will support recruitment and onboarding activities for early careers pathways, including apprenticeshps, graduates, supported internships and work experience.
  • Assisting with the vacancy creation, longlisting and maintaining recruitment data within the Councils recruitment system.
  • As part of the role you will plan, organise and support meetings, training, workshops, events, which may include preparing and maintain documentation and records.
