Job summary

Medistop Limited-Mossley Chemist in Walsall is offering an Apprentice Pharmacy Assistant role to support daily pharmacy operations while completing the Pharmacy Services Assistant apprenticeship, under supervision of registered pharmacy professionals.

You will gain hands-on experience in dispensing, stock management, and customer service, while working towards the Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification and participating in ongoing training with the college or training provider.

Qualifications

• Customer care skills required.
• Initiative and willingness to learn required.
• Essential skills and attributes: good communication, attention to detail, teamwork, and basic numeracy, literacy, IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in dispensing and pharmacist-supported operations.
• Handle stock control, deliveries, and expiry management.
• Support NHS and private prescription processing and submissions.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and guidance on OTC products.
• Maintain cleanliness and security in retail and dispensary areas.
