Job summary

Speedy Hire in the United Kingdom is offering an Apprenticeship Engineer role based at our Tamworth depot. The 36-month programme leads to an End Point Assessment (EPA) with Level 3 NVQ Diplomas and related qualifications.

You will join a structured training programme, attend weekly online classes, and work with experienced colleagues to develop skills in engineering maintenance and related technologies. A clear path to a successful career with Speedy is offered.

Qualifications

• GCSEs: minimum of 3 or 4 GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or higher, including Mathematics, English and a Science.
• Alternative: Level 2 Engineering qualification (e.g., Diploma in Engineering or Maintenance).
• Maths/English: may require Level 2 Functional Skills during the apprenticeship if not achieved at school.
• Strong communication and teamwork are required.

Responsibilities

• Take part in a 36-month structured apprenticeship programme.
• Be part of depot operations to keep the workshop productive and equipment available for customers.
• Attend online classes each week and be trained by experienced colleagues.

Based in Tamworth as an Apprentice Engineer, you will be an important part of depot operations and a key player in keeping the workshop productive meaning equipment is always available for our customers to ensure their experience with us is positive and we continue to be the best hire company in the industry.

You will take part in our structured training programme. During this time you will be trained by our knowledgeable and experienced colleagues along with attending online classes each week.

Programme Overview

The overall programme is for 36 months to the End Point Assesment (EPA) where you will achieve:

• Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance - Engineered Services (Vocational Skills)
• Level 3 Sub Diploma in Engineering Technologies (Development Knowledge)
• Functional Skills in English and Maths (unless exempt)
