TKAT is recruiting an Apprentice IT Technician to support school network maintenance and administration across the Essex region. Based at Debden Park High School, the role involves regular travel between regional sites and across TKAT locations, with a full UK driving licence required.
The apprentice will work closely with the regional IT manager to monitor the service desk, assist in IT project changes, and help maintain our Google environment and other IT systems.
We are looking to recruit anApprentice IT Technicianto join our team here at TKAT on a fixed term basis. Working closely with
the regional IT manager, you will have a key role as part of a regional team to support our schools within the Essex Region. This
role is based at Debden Park High School, with occasional travel to other schools in Essex.
The post holder will be required to travel between regional sites regularly and at times across all TKAT sites - a full UK driving
licence and access to a car is required.
The successful Apprentice IT Technician will be jointly responsible for supporting the maintenance and administration of the
schools’ computer networks, along with working closely with users of our network to identify potential issues and fix any existing
problems.
The ideal candidate will have a sound understanding and previous experience of network infrastructure and network hardware.The
standard of the apprenticeship is ‘Information Communications Technician Level 3’.
Please note that this is aFixed Term Contractposition as the total length of the Apprenticeship including EPA (subject to
working hours and reasonable adjustment) is 17 - 19 months andanyone with an IT degree (Level 3) OR 6 months+ of IT work
experience will not be eligible for the programme due to the entry level of the apprenticeship.
