United Infrastructure is seeking an apprentice to join the Power division within the Jones Lighting team in Sefton. You’ll work with senior technicians on installing, testing, and maintaining low‑voltage street lighting and highway electrical assets while beginning a Level 3 apprenticeship with a training partner.
From day one you’ll gain hands‑on experience, attend face‑to‑face classes, and receive one‑to‑one tutor support.
We are looking for an apprentice to join our Power business division within the Jones Lighting team who offer a range of high-quality services to our clients including street lighting, ICP Works, DNO Contractor Services and LV Overhead Line works, Electrical Design, Car Charging Solutions and HV and Cable Lay works.
You will join the team who deliver bespoke street lighting solutions, based out of our Sefton depot and some of your key responsibilities will include:
As an apprentice with United Infrastructure, you’ll be given a real job from day one where you will gain hands‑on industry experience, and the knowledge required to achieve a nationally recognised qualification.

In order to fully develop in your role, you will be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification with one of our training partners. You will attend face to face classes, either on a day or block release basis and will receive one‑to‑one support from your tutor or coach. They will also meet regularly with you and your line manager to ensure you are progressing through your programme.
In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to have: GCSEs at Grade 9-4/A*-C including English and Mathematics Level 2 Electrical Qualification Good organisation, time management and communication skills Able to reliably commute to and from our Sefton depot for early morning starts. Aged 18+ and have a full clean driving licence as this role requires you to travel to our project sites. Good level of physical fitness and able to work at height.
