Job summary

United Infrastructure Group is seeking an Apprentice Highways Electrician to join the Jones Lighting team at the Sefton depot. You will gain hands-on experience in installing, maintaining and testing street lighting and related highway electrical assets, with training towards a Level 3 apprenticeship.

You will work closely with senior technicians, complete required safety procedures, and progress through a nationally recognised qualification.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade 9-4/A*-C including English and Maths.
• Level 2 Electrical Qualification required.
• Good organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Highway Installation: assist with installation, testing, and maintenance of low-voltage highway electrical equipment.
• Site Safety & Compliance: follow NHSS8 and HERS standards on site.
• Testing & Fault Finding: assist with initial verification and fault diagnosis.
• Emergency Attendance: support on-call repair work and emergencies.

## Apprentice Highways ElectricianApply: Power\\_Jones\\_Sefton: Full time: Posted Today: JR101642We are looking for an apprentice to join our Power business division within the Jones Lighting team who offer a range of high-quality services to our clients including street lighting, ICP Works, DNO Contractor Services and LV Overhead Line works, Electrical Design, Car Charging Solutions and HV and Cable Lay works. You will join the team who deliver bespoke street lighting solutions, based out of our Sefton depot and some of your key responsibilities will include:* Electrical & Highway Installation: Working alongside senior technicians to install, maintain, test, and repair low-voltage highway electrical equipment (e.g., street lighting, illuminated signs, traffic signals).* Site Safety & Compliance: Applying exemplary health, safety, and environmental procedures on site in full compliance with NHSS8 and HERS sector standards.* Testing & Fault Finding: Assisting with initial verification, electrical inspection, testing, and fault diagnosis.* Emergency Attendance: Participating in emergency call-outs and repair work (e.g., vehicular damage to roadside electrical assets) alongside experienced staff. In order to fully develop in your role, you will be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship qualification with one of our training partners.
