Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking an apprentice to join the Power division within the Jones Lighting team in Sefton. You’ll work with senior technicians on installing, testing, and maintaining low‑voltage street lighting and highway electrical assets while beginning a Level 3 apprenticeship with a training partner.

From day one you’ll gain hands‑on experience, attend face‑to‑face classes, and receive one‑to‑one tutor support.

Qualifications

• GCSEs 9-4 incl English and Mathematics.
• Good organisation, time management and communication skills.
• Able to reliably commute to Sefton depot for early starts.
• Aged 18+ and have a full clean driving licence.
• Good level of physical fitness and able to work at height.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Highway Installation: assist with installation, maintenance, testing and repair of low-voltage street lighting and related assets.
• Site Safety & Compliance: follow NHSS8 and HERS standards on site.
• Testing & Fault Finding: assist with verification, inspection, testing, and fault diagnosis.
• Emergency Attendance: participate in emergency call-outs and repair work with experienced staff.
