Job summary

United Infrastructure is recruiting an Apprentice for the Power Business Division to join the Jones Lighting team. Based at the Kirkburton depot, you will gain hands-on electrical installation experience while working on street lighting and related infrastructure projects.

You will undertake a Level 3 Electrical Installation apprenticeship with Kirklees College, attending college weekly during term-time and receiving tutor support. You must be 18+, have GCSEs incl.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at grade 9-4/A*-C including English and Mathematics.
• Good organisation, time management and communication skills.
• Able to reliably commute to Kirkburton depot (HD8 0PW).
• Aged 18+ and have a full driving licence as this role requires you to travel to project sites.
• You must also be available to start full-time work now: commitment to live and breathe our company values during your work and studies.
• Motivation and dedication to successfully complete apprenticeship programme.

Responsibilities

• Electrical & Highway Installation: assist with installation, maintenance, testing and repair of low-voltage street lighting assets.
• Site Safety & Compliance: apply health, safety and environmental procedures on site.
• Testing & Fault Finding: support initial verification, electrical inspection, testing and fault diagnosis.
• Emergency Attendance: participate in emergency call-outs and repair work with experienced staff.
