Job summary

Derby City Council offers an Apprenticeship as an HGV Technician, delivered in partnership with Remit Training. You will work toward a Heavy Vehicle Service Maintenance Technician Level 3 qualification while gaining hands-on experience in our vehicle workshop.

Applicants should have GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4) and are not required to have prior workshop experience; a Level 2 qualification in a relevant subject is desirable, with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) required or equivalent.
• No prior workshop experience is essential but desirable: level 2 related subject or relevant work exposure.

Responsibilities

• Support senior technicians in daily vehicle workshop tasks.
• Assist with Heavy Goods Vehicle maintenance and diagnostics.
• Learn on-the-job as part of the apprenticeship programme with Remit Training.
