Job summary

Balance Education Limited in Derby is seeking a trainee Heavy Vehicle / HGV Mechanics Tutor. The successful candidate will provide theory and practical training to apprentice learners in workshop and classroom settings, with full teacher training and strong industry context.

Fully qualified HGV technicians with industry experience are welcome; no teaching experience is required as training and support are provided.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle mechanics.
• At least 5 years experience as an HGV/Heavy Vehicle technician in the industry.
• A keen interest to work in education.

Responsibilities

• Provide theory and practical training to HGV/Heavy Vehicle apprentice learners in both workshop and classroom environments.
• Curriculum, facilities and lesson planning is provided. You will be using your knowledge and experience to present and demonstrate topics and will be encouraged to share your industry experiences to give real world industry context.
