Job summary

Essity is offering a Converting Operator Apprentice position in Skelmersdale. You will earn while you learn through a Lean Manufacturing Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship, typically lasting up to 15 months, with support from experienced managers.

The programme develops health and safety, quality, tissue-converting processes, lean techniques and problem solving, while building teamwork and practical STEM skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 GCSE qualifications at standard grade C/5 or above, including Maths and English.
• Willing to learn and take a positive approach to problem solving; flexible and able to manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to work as a team player.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in tissue paper converting operations.
• Complete on-the-job training and off-the-job learning.
• Progress through a structured competency programme for converting operations.
• Develop skills in health, safety, quality, lean manufacturing and problem solving.
• Build productive working relationships and apply STEM knowledge in manufacturing.
