Courtyard by Marriott Exeter is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our team in Sandy Park Way, Exeter. Supporting your journey with a Level 2 NVQ in catering or as a Level 3 student, you will receive comprehensive training and development while working in a dynamic hotel kitchen environment.

You will follow all safety policies, maintain professional appearance, and contribute to a positive team culture.

Qualifications

• Apprentice chef role with training support.
• Level 2 NVQ in catering or Level 3 student encouraged.
• No supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Follow company safety policies and report hazards to the manager.
• Maintain clean professional appearance and confidentiality of information.
• Develop positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; lift up to 25 pounds; perform other duties as requested by Supervisors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join the team as an Apprentice Chef. this is ideal for someone who is either starting their journey on a level 2 NVQ in catering or is a Level 3 student. You will be supported in your journey as a proffessional chef with training and development. Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors. Preferred Qualification Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience. Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
