Job summary

VolkerWessels UK is seeking an Apprentice Site Supervisor to join the on-site operations team and support site management on major projects. You will work closely with the Site Manager, follow HSEQ policies, and develop practical skills on site.

You will work on site four days a week and study for a Level 4 Construction Site Supervisor apprenticeship one day a week, within a structured VolkerFitzpatrick training programme aimed at progression to Construction Management.

Qualifications

• A levels or related level 3 qualification.
• 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Willing to lodge away from home during the working week when required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Site Manager and Site Manager to ensure site adherence to HSEQ policies.
• Part of a structured VolkerFitzpatrick training programme with a dedicated on-site role.

Job description

The Apprentice Site Supervisor is an important member of the Site Operation Team. The Trainee is expected to act in a responsible and professional manner at all times maintaining good working relations with site management, Client, our chain of sub-contractors, suppliers and designers and with the general public. The Apprentice shall assist the Assistant Site Manager & Site Manager to ensure the site adheres to all VolkerFitzpatrick HSEQ policies. The Apprentice will work on site 4 days a week and study for a site supervisor apprenticeship 1 day a week. The Apprentice will also be part of a structured VolkerFitzpatrick training programme.
A passion for construction and some work experience would be an advantage. Level 4 Apprenticeship - Construction Site Supervisor with potential progression to Construction Management BSc (Hons) degree apprenticeship

• A levels or a related level 3 qualification
• Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above)
• Must hold a valid driving licence and have access to a vehicle.
• Must be willing to lodge away from home during the working week, where required, due to project location.
