Job summary

The University of Bedfordshire seeks a practical, people-focused AI Workflow and Automation Officer in Luton to turn AI opportunities into operational improvements. You will identify AI opportunities with partner organisations, define KPIs and ROI, and implement straightforward AI and automation solutions using low-code/no-code platforms.

You will collaborate with academic and technical specialists, promote responsible AI, and support staff training and adoption.

Qualifications

• Experience analysing workflows or business problems and engaging stakeholders.
• Practical knowledge of digital, AI or automation tools.
• Ability to translate requirements into practical solutions and train users.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft 365, Copilot, Power Automate or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Run stakeholder discussions to identify AI opportunities and KPIs.
• Map current processes and identify bottlenecks for improvement.
• Evaluate and recommend AI and automation tools for value, usability and security.
• Configure and deploy AI assistants and low-code automations; support pilots and training.
