Job summary

Oscar Technology is seeking an Applied AI Engineer (C# .NET) in Nottingham with hybrid work options (2 days in office). You will design and productionise AI-powered features within a .NET platform, integrating LLMs and AI into customer products.

The role focuses on building scalable backend services, API development, and close collaboration with product and data teams to deliver valuable AI solutions across UK and international customers.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience building backend apps in C#/.NET.
• Experience integrating AI or LLMs into production software.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings and vector search is a plus.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered features within a modern C#/.NET app stack.
• Integrate LLMs and Generative AI into customer-facing products.
• Build RAG pipelines using vector databases and semantic search.
• Develop APIs and backend services that scale AI functionality.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and Data teams to deliver capabilities.
• Evaluate AI outputs, improve reliability and implement guardrails.
